The 13 swimmers and coaches that went to the Kiwi West Aquatics Training Camp (9-14 January) had a great time, enjoying good weather at the pool as well as the beach.
While staying at the St Mary’s School in Stratford, the team enjoyed a mixture of pool and dry-land training sessions during the week. This was an opportunity to continue training during maintenance on the Westend Pool, but also time for fun and challenges. The swimmers were accommodated 1 or 2 per room, and the food was excellent.
Swimmers and team managers travelled together and as a club, we look forward to future training camps. This event was for swimmers from 12 years and up.
Thanks to Andrew for coaching and organising the event, and to Tatiana Hopcroft for managing the team.
The cost of the camp was reduced due to the generous support of the Mainland Foundation and Pub Charity.
