Swimming Wellington hosted nearly 650 swimmers from 48 clubs at the Wellington Summer Championships.  A New Zealand age group record went to Mya Rasmussen (Kiwi West) in the 15 years 400m individual medley with a new time of 4:51.94.  The previous record of 4:55.43 was held by Anna Wilson since 1993.

Manawatu records were also broken by Tom Hansen for the 13yr old boys 800m Freestyle in a time of 9:24.45 at the Wellington LC Summer champs and Xavier Hill broke the 15yr old boys 100m Butterfly in a time of 0:59.61 (which he broke earlier the Queensland Champs).

Xavier also broke the 15yr boys 400m Freestyle record at the recent Manawatu Age Group Champs in a time of 4:16.99
